Trinity Lutheran Child Development Center is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia. It exists to provide loving care for children of working parents and for those who are looking for an enrichment program to expand their child’s preschool experience.

Our Goal

The main goal of this center is to provide a safe learning environment for children to encourage growth in all areas of development including social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development and we promote this through a daily program enriched with many hands-on activities. Our highly qualified staff offers effective, developmentally appropriate teaching practices and techniques and our emphasis is always on the well being, happiness, and loving care of each and every child.

Educational Programs

Infant/Toddler Program (Ages 6 weeks to 18 months): Our infants and toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. Their days are filled with music, art, dance, storytime and more. Our infants and toddlers are treated to lots of one on one TLC with adult/ child ratios well beyond the expectations of State licensing.

Preschool (Ages 3-5): Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. Games abound that teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition, basic math concepts, and hands-on science exploration.

Kindergarten (Ages 5-6): Kindergarten curriculum includes weekly themes and reinforcement of skills being taught at Arcadia Local Schools. The kindergarteners focus on reading, writing, math concepts and language arts as well as social development among their peers.

Elementary/After School (Ages 5-12): School-age children are given a quiet environment for homework and projects, with supervised tutoring/assistance as needed. Also available to elementary students are crafts, games, snacks, and physical activities.

We offer a wonderful School Age Summer Program which includes two to three field trips a week and a variety of fun and exciting summer camp type activities to keep our youngsters busy. Register early! Our spaces fill up quickly!
